An Arizona woman and wife of a US Air Force worker who admitted to poisoning her husband by repeatedly pouring a liquid he said was bleach into a coffee machine has been sentenced.
She admitted to putting the bleach in her husband’s coffee pot on July 11 and July 18 of last year.
Melody Felicano Johnson was given probation for three years and no additional jail time on Friday – meaning that she has been allowed to walk free.
Prior to the event, Roby Johnson started noticing that his coffee tasted off starting in March of 2023.
He decided to purchase pool chemical testing strips and discovered there was high chlorine levels in his coffee.
He then set up a hidden camera and caught his wife, Melody Feliciano Johnson, in the act.
Johnson says his wife was trying to get life insurance benefits by attempting to kill him.
Despite all the evidence, Feliciano struck a plea deal and plead guilty to two counts of adding poison or a harmful substance to food or drink.
