Apple TV+ Announces Return of Acclaimed Drama “Silo” with New Cast Addition.
San Diego Comic-Con attendees were thrilled yesterday when Apple TV+ announced the return of its globally acclaimed drama “Silo” for a second season, premiering on Friday, November 15. The announcement was made during a special fan panel featuring series star and executive producer Rebecca Ferguson, star Common, creator and showrunner Graham Yost, and executive producer Hugh Howey. The event also included a surprise appearance by Steve Zahn (“The White Lotus”), who will join the cast for the upcoming season.
“Silo,” based on Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy “Wool,” follows the last ten thousand people on earth living in a mile-deep silo to protect them from the toxic world outside. The second season will consist of 10 episodes, with the premiere episode available globally on Apple TV+ on November 15. For fans who prefer binge-watching, Apple TV+ will release the entire season on January 17, 2025.
Rebecca Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer unraveling the mystery behind a loved one’s murder, only to uncover deeper secrets about the silo and the outside world. The cast for season two also includes Tim Robbins, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie, and Iain Glen.
